Religious Education
Our Religious Education Program is for children preparing for Sacraments starting in first through eighth grade and any high school students who have not received Baptism, Penance, Eucharist, or Confirmation.
Our program runs from September through April and offers traditional weekly classes and a Home Study Program (third – sixth grades, with approval).
The program is supported by generous volunteers. As per the United States Bishop’s charter Protecting God’s Children, all volunteers 18 age or older participate in criminal background checks and VIRTUS training for the safety of our children.
For more information, please contact Margaret Zola at 609-291-8281 x118, mzola@mmotcp.org.
Sacristan
A Sacristan is someone who prepares the sacred spaces of the Church to welcome all to the table of Jesus as He gives Himself to us. They are responsible for the care of the environment and the placement of everything that is used in all the Church Liturgies. This Ministry is a family of people, united to maintain the dignity and meaning of all our Liturgies. Consider joining these wonderful servants as they grow closer to Him. Come join our family. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at 609-298-0261.
Secular Franciscan Order
Secular Franciscan Order is a community of Catholic adults who grow in the love of scripture and the Church in the footsteps of Francis of Assisi and his followers. Our purpose is to bring the Gospel to life where we live and where we work. We look for ways to embrace the Gospel in our lives and to try to help others to do likewise. Monthly meetings are at Holy Assumption Church in the Divine Mercy Meeting Room on the first Sunday of the month from 1-3 pm. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at 609-298-0261.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a group of men and women inspired by Gospel values to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering. Each of us donates our time and talent to help residents of Bordentown City, Bordentown Township, Fieldsboro, Roebling and Florence. We also help parishioners of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish regardless of town of residence.
We visit our neighbors in need in their homes, provide financial assistance when available and non-financial assistance such as help with budgeting. We have a monitored answering machine. We also sponsor and participate in fundraising events and programs, maintain a resource guide of federal, state and county assistance programs and participate in the Parish Advent Giving Tree.
We meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Parish Center, 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown, NJ. For more information, please see our svdpbordentown.org or contact 609-298-1414.
Ushers
One of the most important roles of an usher is that of hospitality. The usher is the first-person worshipers meet when they arrive at church. The impression of our parish is significantly shaped by the presence or absence of a welcoming atmosphere when they come to worship. Offering a smile and a word of welcome can have a profound impact on the people as they enter our church. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at 609-298-0261.
Walking with Purpose
Walking with Purpose (WWP) is a unique Bible Study Program for women of all ages. At the heart of the program, we seek to elevate our knowledge of God and to deepen our relationship with Jesus. Walking With Purpose is more than a women’s Bible study. It is a faith community that supports, encourages, and challenges one another. It is a safe place where you will discover authentic friendships and meaningful discussions as your heart is transformed by the Word of God. It is everything you need to get back to living a life that you love. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at 609-298-0261.
Welcome Ministry
The Welcome Ministry welcomes all who wish to join Mary, Mother of the Church Parish family. We host a Meet and Greet monthly for all new to the Parish.
The purpose of the meeting is to help new parishioners recognize what Mary, Mother of the Church Parish has to offer, how our new parishioners can become involved, and where their talents can be best utilized.
