Volunteering in

Mary, Mother of the Church Parish

Background, Fingerprinting, and VIRTUS Procedure

Thank you for generously giving of your time and talents to Mary, Mother of the Church Parish. As required by the Diocese of Trenton and our parish, all individuals who come in contact with children, youth, or vulnerable adults must complete a VIRTUS Safe Environment training course and undergo a criminal background check. VIRTUS is a nationally recognized program developed by the Catholic Church to help prevent abuse by providing education on recognizing warning signs and maintaining a safe environment for all. CLEARANCE IS NEEDED AND ID CARD IN HAND BEFORE YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO VOLUNTEER IN ANY MINISTRY.

The VOLUNTEERS STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE will assist you in registering from beginning to end. Please follow for accuracy as any incorrect information will delay your registration. If you are already employed or volunteering within the Diocese of Trenton, please email Margaret Zola before beginning this process.

VOLUNTEERS STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

In 4 years, you will be required to be recertified for VIRTUS. I will reach out to you at that time with the available link for the newest online module.
